OKLAHOMA CITY (Nov. 17, 2014) – The Tobacco Settlement Endowment Trust’s Board of Directors has passed a resolution in support of effective public policy to protect the public and prevent exposure to secondhand smoke inside workplaces and public places.

The resolution supports the passage of a comprehensive smokefree law for indoor workplaces and public places. The TSET Board of Directors approved the resolution during their November meeting.

OKLAHOMA CITY (Nov. 13, 2014) – The TSET Board of Directors on Thursday approved a $45,000 grant to the City of Seminole for implementing policies and strategies that encourage residents to eat better, move more, and be tobacco free.

OKLAHOMA CITY (Nov. 13, 2014) – To commemorate the upcoming 15th anniversary of the voter-creation of the Tobacco Settlement Endowment Trust, the TSET Board of Directors on Thursday held a brief ceremony highlighting the release of a documentary film screening of the organization’s history.

OKLAHOMA CITY (Nov. 13, 2014) – The Board of Directors for the Tobacco Settlement Endowment Trust on Thursday awarded incentive grants to three school districts that have implemented strategies to promote health and wellness for students and staff.

The board approved a total of $11,000 in incentive grants to the following school districts: Maud (Pottawatomie County); McLoud (Pottawatomie County) and Pawhuska (Osage County).

OKLAHOMA CITY – The Board of Directors for the Tobacco Settlement Endowment Trust elected new board officers at their annual retreat September 11-12.

Jim Gebhart, FACHE, of Oklahoma City, was elected as chairman of the TSET Board of Directors. Gebhart replaces Casey Killblane of Davis as chair.

Board members also voted unanimously to approve Lisa Nowlin, DDS, of Elk City, as vice chair the TSET Board of Directors. Nowlin replaces Gebhart as vice chair.
