OKLAHOMA CITY (Sept. 22, 2016) – Choosing water over high-calorie sugary beverages could help slow the increase in childhood obesity in Oklahoma – where one in three youth is overweight or obese. Youth who are not at a healthy weight are at an increased risk for immediate health issues like bone or joint problems and sleep apnea, along with long-term health problems such as diabetes or cardiovascular disease. They are also more likely to become obese adults.

Henryetta, Okla.  (September 12, 2016) – The Henryetta Public School district was presented with a $5,000 check Monday as part of the Healthy School District Incentive Grant program through the Tobacco Settlement Endowment Trust (TSET).

OKLAHOMA CITY (Friday, Aug. 26, 2016) – The TSET Board of Directors on Friday approved more than $40,000 in grants to four school districts and two school sites through the TSET Healthy Schools Incentive Grant program.

OKLAHOMA CITY – (Friday, Aug. 26, 2016) – A major investment supporting childhood cancer research and treatment will benefit Oklahoma children and move the Stephenson Cancer Center closer to achieving National Cancer Institute designation.
